Meet Lucky Lamond

Lucky Lamond is a folk artist who works at the intersection of creativity and healing.

A proud member of the Irish American and Chinese American diasporas raised between California’s gold country, beaches, and deserts, her music weaves elements of traditional folk and storytelling with the modern influences of Americana and acoustic surf to create her unique West Coast style.

Her work celebrates her identities and the human experience, and is greatly inspired by the traditional Irish seannchí (storyteller); she believes that by telling the stories that make us who we are, we free those coming after to be all they can be.

With roots in North County San Diego and San Francisco, she splits her time between her music, writing on Substack, working for music industry mental health organization Backline, and grief counseling.

Grief is the singer in my band, she’s a passenger van, and a shortcut straight to the truth.
